Senate Bill SB999 to permit motorized vehicles on open MFL land

WWOA’s executive director, Nancy Bozek, and president, Don Hoffman, attended a public hearing and presented objections from members. The bill passed in the House but was voted down in the Senate. The bill has been re-introduced in the House as AB1093 with some changes. Jack suggested that the bill be amended to exclude smaller landowners. The bigger issue is large industrial/commercial land holdings >500 acres.

We need to stay tuned and be prepared to contact state legislators.
